wtf happened to carrot top?

i was (by accident, i swear!) watching the tmz tv show yesterday and they were making fun of people with too much plastic surgery. meg ryan definitely looked the freakiest, but at least i could tell it was her. i barely even recognized this guy though. i know he was pretty lanky back in the day, and i’m all for the body building, but look at those shoulders, especially the right one, it’s pointy! tmz said they were probably implants which would be disgusting, although he’s otherwise pretty built, so maybe they’re real and he just has some strange musculature around there, or maybe was doing too much juice, used his shoulder as an injection site and got some wierd abscess. and what’s with the facelift, painted fingernails and makeup? freak! anyway, if i ever start looking like this, someone kick my ass.

speaking of plastic surgery and muscle implants, there’s apparently a procedure to get ripped abs without doing any of the work, although it costs between $4-7k. “abdominal etching” is pretty much just precision localized liposuction to suck out the fat inbetween the abs. this flabby dude looks totally disproportionate now though:

here’s the whole wsj.com article about ab etching via gizmodo.com

I keep reading the same comment. Ab etching gets ripped abs without the work. I doubt that’s true. It’ll get you close but if you want the that thin skin look and the obliques you’ll still have to do the cardio to get it.

Man if you think cardio alone is what give you a “six pack” then you, like 99% of misinformed people out there, are mistaken. Its 80% diet and the cardio simply accelerates a strict , clean diet low enough in calories to create a deficit so the body uses fat and clean food as fuel.

    Brandon, your a retard.
If you eat a fuck load of shit food, as long as you work off those extra calories then the food wont have any affect,
All dieting does is stop your body from growing fat, cardio is what works it off.
The only way to lose fat from dieting is too not eat at all, so eventually your body eats it’s self, which is not very good at all x_x
Dieting is good, as it will speed up the process, but cardio/exercise does the job.

    rawrzor, YOU are the retard.

brandon is actually correct. if you’re diet isn’t spot on 100% of the time you will never see those six pack abs unless you are just genetically gifted. don’t argue with me because it’s pointless.. i know exactly what i’m talking about and you, like most people, are misinformed as brandon said.

Actually your all wrong doing sit ups and ab excersises will build up your ab muscles and eating not alot of fatty food and doing cardio to burn off excess calories will show the ab muscles you have built. you can have the muscles just have fat on top of it hiding them

what i have heard from trainers and learnt myself is to get a good 6 pack it’s 70% diet and 30% gym. it’s the process of using all 3 combinations of diet, cardio and sit ups. i myself for years was just doing heaps of sit ups and cardio here and there and it wasnt until i started dieting properly that i started to see major results. you need to et healthy to get that 6 pack as well as situps and cardio but eating the correct foods is the key ingredient

Wow, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the ignorance of obtaining visible abdominal muscles seen on this thread. Here is the 100% truth and will clear everything up.

Use your thumb and index finger to deep pinch (like your grabbing for dear life) your stomach fat. Look at how much space is between your thumb and your finger. When the space between your thumb and you finger gets to about half in inch, you will see your abdominal. If it’s more than that there is too much fat on your stomach to see your abs.

There are two ways to lose fat 1) diet 2) cardio. Some people are gifted and their body naturally stores less fat on their stomach than others so they always have a six pack and go around giving people false advice on what to do to achieve the same results as them on the internet. Other people have a little bit of fat on their stomach so they can simply cut the fatty foods and then they get the six pack.

For 95% of the population you will have to get your body’s fat percentage to 8% or less if you are a male and 17% or less if you are a female before you will see your six pack. In order to get your body fat that low these people will have to do both diet and cardio exercise until they burn off enough fat to see their abs. Also, your abdominals are one of the most used muscles in your body, everyone has abs so its’ not necessary to work them out to get a six pack, but doing ab exercises will make them bigger and easier to see.

Also, dieting burns fat more than cardio does. If your body requires 2,000 calories to mantain your weight and you eat 1,500 calories your preventing 500 calories from entering your body so your body will need to get that 500 calories from it’s stored energy (which is usually fat). FYI 500 calories is equal to 1 hour on the stair master.

Wikipedia seems to make so many people think they have PHds now. Get real.
Carrot Top has implants. The ‘block’ look to his shoulders have nothing to do with injection. Injecting Synthol does not do this. Just look up what the idiot Greg Valentine did to his arms with the stuff.
If you go crazy on the growth, Winny, pure ‘Test’ and some of the other crazy Russian juice out there now (coupled with insulin), AND lift weights, almost anyone can grow significant muscle. The problem is only 1 in a million have decent genes to carry it off in a good way.
I’ve lifted for 30 years and got plenty large, but never looked like Arnold even with 5% body fat. I have large joints, I do not have a GIANT head, and worst of all, I do not have ‘cannonball shoulders’…
These are something you either are born with (like Jay Cutler) or are not (90% of us). You can workout on the juice for years and get big, but not develop the main 3 delt muscles for the perfect cannonball look.
Carrot Top tried to BUY the ‘ball’, and it looks like he is wearing a fake Halloween Captain America suit. What an idiot.
The implants are under the muscle (which he has developed), but he will never look like he wants. He’s now too old, and does not have the genetics.
Roids work, but only to your body’s natural potential. Arnold was ’1 in a million’… and still the best bodybuilder of all time.
Let people take roids and anything else they want. It’s their body. Why listen to old fat soft guys in suits in D.C.? They all look like garbage.
