why do black women talk during the entire movie?

i know this is a stereotype that’s often joked about, but in my experience (most recently this evening in an affluent part of town) it’s too true. and of course this isn’t all black women, or even the majority of them. but if i’m watching a movie and some lady’s talking to her friends, her phone, or to the movie itself, i can usually guarantee she’s black. the kicker is that unlike most friendly people that i could politely ask to be more quiet, the few times i’ve tried to confront an obnoxiously loud black female in a movie theatre, all hell breaks loose. she starts screaming at me about how i can’t tell her what to do and then just proceeds to talk even louder.

this evening i watched wanted with some friends after dinner and the movie was really entertaining. thankfully there was so much constant action that it drowned out this dumb bitch’s voice, but when there was dialogue, she was just gabbing away. i can’t imagine she was following the story, and her distractions were making it difficult for me to as well. the theatre was so packed that i couldn’t get up and move, and per past experiences decided not to incur the wrath of her, her friend or her boyfriend.

maybe i’m just getting old and cranky, but this is just another reason why i have a nice tv and often just wait for the movies to come to dvd where i can enjoy them in peace, without some brat kicking my chair and some bitch asking her nextel, “where you at?!”

You can’t tell her what to do… but you CAN get her kicked out if you go and complain… I know this from experience!

  3. kento August 5th, 2008 7:49 pm

u sound like you haven’t watched movies with noisy black women in the row in front of you. but for the record, this entire article is meant to be a bit tounge-in-cheek.

its true, black people are so rude in the movie theater. I know you aren’t trying to be racist but I tell you what, it’s hard not to be. I’ve experienced this many times in theaters but it not only stops there, its in the malls/stores, restaurants, and in general public.

I used to work in a mall in my town that was generally a white area. Everything was fine, we had a good customer base, polite people, and extremely low “shrink”. For those who don’t know “Shrink” is a term used for items “lost” in a business that leads to money loss for the company. Anyway, they added a few bus stops and train stops near the mall as part of a renovation project with the nearby highway. Then it all went to shit.

Black people live mostly downtown or in the north city area of my town, and sure enough, when they added the stops, here come the black people.

Crime in the mall by criteria of assault and theft rose 50% in 1 month. 50%! holy shit wtf. Our shrink went from around $50-$200 a month to well over $1000 a month. These people are extremely rude and want to fight and argue about everything, there is not simple talking with them. If they didn’t get there way about a return or refund then they called me a racist or whatever even though they were clearly wrong. You can’t return something, lets say a Music CD for instance, that was sold sealed and brand new and came back broken in half with scratches. It’s just not happening, but oh right…. I’m the racist one they say. Man I’m so sick of this shit, this country has gone to shit, too many disrespectful black people.

This is just a small portion of ONE situation that ONE person experienced. If you add that up over the whole United States plus the fact that a situation could be larger than this one (returning a TV, stealing something large, etc) shit, there’s the reason why black people claim they are all poor. They say it’s the white man holdin’ them down… pshh ya right, You’re holding yourself down bitch. Plus black people have no concept of how Credit works or the housing market… seriously. But they say “Oh it’s because our schools are shit” ya… well maybe if your asshole kids stopped chasing the teachers out then maybe they’d learn something. But they don’t know the difference because your upstairs with your legs behind your ears making another baby that’s going to end up on welfare just like you and the rest of your family. That’s right, cherish those food stamps you lazy fuck. God damn I hate useless people.

oh and btw I found this site while searching for this sentence “Why do black people talk during movies?”

lol also a few months back there was a full scale riot in the food court of that very same mall. A fight started between two people, then their friends got involved, then their friends friends got involved… so on and so forth, it turned into a full scale riot. 20 people involved and arrested.

All suspects were brought into custody and all their mugshots were shown on tv… guess what…

    they were all black. suprising.

    lol

i guess none of you have been in the theatre with a bunch of absolutely obnoxious teenagers. i took my elderly aunt to see a movie and a row of teenagers began talking loudly. My aunt said, “shhhh.” They kept talking. My aunt then turned around and said, “please be quiet.” They kept right on talking. Then I turned around and said (as loudly as they were talking), “Shut the hell up!” Guess what. They shut up. Guess what again. They were as white as the driven snow with filthy mouths and no manners. Rudeness and ignorance as well as class and intelligence come in all colors. (If you don’t believe it, check out who’s going to the White House!!!) ha ha

  9. T January 20th, 2009 9:52 am

Yes, vb - teenagers as well as people of other ethnicities can and do talk during movies. There is one difference however:
I see in your note that you turned around and told them to “Shut the hell up!” - and they stopped talking. That is the difference. If you would have said that to black people of any age, they would not have stopped talking. They probably would have talked more, louder, or gotten in your face about how you can’t tell them what to do and blah blah… And if you are a white person telling them to be quiet - they will automatically assume you are a racist and really get in your face. Because obviously any intelligent person knows that if you tell ANYONE to be quiet during a movie that you just paid top dollar to go see at a theater, you MUST be a racist. Yeah that makes total sense doesn’t it. Situations like this define the word Ignorant. By the way i also found this site by searching “why do black people talk during movies” because i have experienced this multiple times, the last being so bad that it ruined the movie and i could not hear it due to cross-theater yelling and bickering.

stupid niggers are retards, thats why. gorillas.

  11. shadow April 25th, 2009 7:31 pm

Its not only black women. but it is a stereotype. Its also annoying with dumb teens. This is one of the main reason people resort to torrents instead of going to the theater.

sometimes you can’t just complain and think everything is going to be fine. All I can suggest if for you to move your seats.

  12. Black Male June 10th, 2009 11:42 am

ehh… well I’m black and I’m never loud during a movie..

  13. Joni June 17th, 2009 5:26 pm

Because niggers are culturally ignorant, dumb-asses who actually think the actors onscreen can hear the audience comments. Usually, the black people who stupidly and rudely speak during the movies are fat, ignorant, pierced, tattooed, corn-rowed, bead-braided, dreadlocked and stink intensely of black BO. Black B.O. is like no other stench on earth. Fat, ugly, Ubangi-lipped Black females love to comment loudly in movies featuring attractive white women because they know that any black man with half a brain and a stiff cock prefers an attractive, slim, professional white woman to a fat, stinky, dumb hairy stubble arm-pitted, ashy elbowed female gorilla any day of the week. Easy - Netflix or other venues. You never have to go to a theater with simians again!

i like how you call black people culturally ignorant while you call them “niggers.” I’m so proud to be white. Just kidding

  16. Anonymous July 20th, 2009 12:18 am

but i’ll admit the racist comments are hilarious.

  17. anonymous July 22nd, 2009 9:38 am

I found this site by searching, “Why do black people talk during movies.” I also think this is hilarious. I am including a conversation below

11:33 AM me: Wanna hear a funny story?
    v: always
    11:34 AM don’t leave a bitch hangin’
me: So G and I went to see Hairy Poooter last night in ——-. We pre-ordered tickets because everyone and their mom loves it. When we got there we barely found seats…we thought they were perfect
    until
we realized that behind us were sitting a large group of large-mouth black girls
    v: ALWAYS
    what the fuck
    11:35 AM always black girls
me: they had as usual, some brilliant things to say
    v: do share
me: like ” what is this, Titanic?” when a boat came out of the water
    v: LOL
me: after asking them to please be quiet many times…G turned around and said,”
v: at least they’re funny loud mouths
11:36 AM me: if you don’t shut your mouth, I’m going to cut your pussy off and shove it down your throat and sew your mouth shut.”
    V: AHAHAHAHA
me: that’s what he said! hahaa
v: how did that go over?
    me: okay…not well
    v: I’ll bet
me: they were quiet for about 5 minutes
    v: but it’s fucking hilarious
me: so…they continue to be cunts..and idiots until the movie ends
    11:37 AM v: that’s so annoying
me: after wards i went to the bathroom
v: I really do hate that
me: when I got out G was in a full on verbal brawl
    me to
    o
    v: AWESOME!
so high school, I love it
me: I tried to end it…I really did..but they informed us that they were going to follow us out and beat us up
vi: Did other people shush them too?
11:38 AM me: no..everyone is afraid of black girls!
    v: very mature
of course they are - they’ll cut ya
    oh wait, that’s mexicans
me: so…I said..try it..follow us out and grabbed G and we started to walk..hahaha
v: the black girls will shoot you - or have their boyfriends do it
me: finally I reached in my purse and got my phone..They were like, “what are going to call the cops?”
v: it’s Harry Potter - you shouldn’t have to get into a knife fight
me: I then pulled out my knife
    hehe
    v: awesome
    11:39 AM loving you
me: and said, “follow me out and see what i’ll fucking do to you bitches!”
and flipped out my knife like west side story n shit
    hahaha
    they backed off

Okay..so that was probably my tenth experience with black girls talking during a movie. I tried to suspend generalizations. I tried to stay calm and rationalize their behavior. I refuse to judge someone based on the color of their skin…However, I will maintain my right to judge them based on their culture.
Last night I went to a pre-screening of the movie, “Orphan.” Inevitably it was packed, but we found some nice seats. I turned to G when I saw some black couples sitting above and to the left of the seats. We gave each other a look of defeat. We both knew it was wrong to judge all black people based on the actions of a few. We sat down and settled in. The next thing you know, there was full on ignorant, inarticulate commentary coming from the seat above us. I heard the phrase, “oh shit, awwh shit!” more times in the following hour than I’ve heard words like “lotion,” or “bubblegum,” in my entire life! I shushed then three times. Then the two couples to the left chimed in. One of the black guys tried to shush his wife but she laughed at him. He looked like he wanted to stab her in the face, I know I did. G had to console me. We were going to leave, but opted to go sit down in the front instead. We soon realized that the movie was terrible. but, at least we got to figure that out all by ourselves, in peace. btw, everyone around us was white. I can’t help but to accuse black culture.

It’s probably best to get movie theater personnel involved, but it’s more satisfying to handle the situation yourself. Unless of course this happens:

    ————————————
31-year-old Wu Lomax of Yeadon was shot in left arm by another moviegoer at the United Artist Theater Riverview plaza on Columbus Boulevard while watching a Christmas showing of the Curious Case of Benjamin Button with his girlfriend and her three children.
    ….
Police say 29 year old James Cialella of South Philadelphia fired a shot after telling the group to be quiet. Banner says she was shocked:

“And they were telling us that we were loud and to be quiet and the reason we were talking was we were talking about the movie. So are you telling us that we are not allowed to talk? I mean this is America. Don’t tell us what to do.”
    ————————————

Hahahahaha! Invoking America: the terminal idiot’s response to everything. If they hadn’t have gotten shot, I would’ve shot them from the future just for saying that.

Also, lest good people think I’m a one-trick pony, the comment that bounced with giddy delight on the tip of my tongue at “Orphan” last night was “Shut your mouths or I’ll fuck you with your own teeth.” Not really sure of the details on how that would best be accomplished, but it doesn’t sound pleasant.

    Love,

    g

LOLz. I went to see 2012 last week, (the biggest crap movie ever, but nice FX). The theater was packed and there were a few seats peppered throughout the theater. we finally find one and it happened to be next to an older black couple. I had no choice but to endure the suffering with random outbursts. Then the ultimate sin occured. Some funky smell started eminating. Yes, that is right, someone busted ass. We suspected that the old elderly black folks were responsible. As soon as they left I watched them walk down the aisle and some poor kid had to take the full effect of their intestinal gasses as the kid quickly spasmed to gasp a breath of fresh air. Not all black people are disrespectful and I can imagine that being in a smartass mood and saying thing outloud can be quite stimulating…even if you think you are invulnerable. However, our generation and our society has lost the common respect and decency for each other.

It’s not a matter of being black or white, elderly or teenaged. Americans just don’t care about being polite toward others in public. Regardless of race or age, most Americans seem to think it’s their right to act however they please, no matter how anybody else feels about it, and they can’t tolerate even the tiniest bit of criticism.

Test my theory. See a movie in the US, then drive over the border to Canada. See the same movie in two theaters, only a few miles apart. The theater in the US will be full of loudmouthed people (who always seem to have an excuse for their rudeness), and the theater in Canada will be silent.

Talking during a movie is a cultural thing, unique to the US. It’s not a racial issue (unless, of course, you’re a racist, and then everything is a racial issue).

  21. papa March 10th, 2010 10:53 pm

Black people are loud and rude everywhere. what is wrong with these people??

  22. Darman March 10th, 2010 10:57 pm

yous all best watch what you be saying you be losing yours white women and your country to thems black people look who be the president now only matter of time

  23. Nunaya Bizness March 31st, 2010 8:22 pm

This is why I download movies illegally off of the internet: theaters don’t control loudmouths, and I’m tired of paying super-high prices to theaters in order to smell farts, walking on the sticky floors, using their filthy restrooms etc.

I’d rather watch it at home for FREE.

  24. ob April 13th, 2010 10:50 pm

the reason why black people talk so much at the movies, or anywhere is so we can find them.
that’s THEIR way of playing “marco polo”
    black people are crazy
Absurd outbursts at any given time
    they lack common sense
    they are spreading
    God have mercy on them

  25. jj June 13th, 2010 5:11 pm

all you white ignorant fucks can die slow

  26. AP June 14th, 2010 5:55 pm

First of all I’m black, and it’s true. Black females can’t seem to just shut up. It drives me crazy every time I go to the movies. If you want to narrate the movie, get it on DVD and do it at home.
