cdl checkpoint: wtf?

on my short drive to work this morning while i was on marine ave going through hawthorne there was a forced california drivers license checkpoint, with about 30 police cars on the scene. i assume it was part of some crackdown initiative on unlicensed drivers, or maybe it’s more of an immigration thing trying to crack down on illegals and look out for terrorists? they were pulling lots of people over that i guess either didn’t have their license or looked shady for whatever reason. i flashed my license and they let me through without even really looking at it, i guess i didn’t fit the profile for whoever they were looking for.

It was sucks. I got on trapped on traffic half an hour going to work and half an hour leaving work. I went thru the check point twice in a day. I think it’s not worth it. It’s a waste of tax money.
